Up to 50 files, 50 MB max each.

What Scan document does

You took a phone photo of a contract, an invoice or a form and need to send it as a scan. Upload one or more photos (one per page), mark the sheet's four corners on each, and get a PDF with the pages straight, seen from the front and cropped to the paper's edge. Black and white mode cleans up shadows and uneven light so it looks like a photocopy; you can also choose higher-contrast greyscale or color. Everything happens on your device: the photos aren't uploaded to any server.

Limits

  • Up to 50 files at a time, up to 50 MB each.
  • With Pro: up to 500 files per batch.
  • A job that takes longer than 5 minutes is stopped so it doesn't freeze your device.
  • Processed in your browser: your files are never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

How do I take a good photo to scan?

Lay the sheet on a dark, plain surface that contrasts with the paper, in good light and without direct flash (which leaves a white glare). Frame the whole sheet with some margin and hold the phone as parallel to the paper as you can. It doesn't have to be perfectly straight: marking the corners fixes that.

How do I mark the corners?

Drag each of the four circles to a corner of the sheet (with the mouse or a finger), or select one with Tab and move it with the arrow keys (Shift + arrow for big steps). With several pages, pick each one with the "Page 1", "Page 2"… buttons. The PDF follows the order of the file list.

Which mode should I choose?

Black and white for text (contracts, invoices, notes): clean, sharp and a small PDF. Greyscale for faint signatures, stamps or pictures you want to keep. Color for documents where colors matter, like charts or ID cards.

Can the text be searched or copied?

No: the PDF holds pictures of the pages. To make it searchable, run it through "OCR scanned PDF", which adds an invisible text layer.

Is there a limit?

JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF or iPhone HEIC photos, up to 50 MB each. Each page is straightened to at most 2400 pixels on its longest side (about 200 dpi on A4) and the whole job has 5 minutes. Corners are placed by hand: the sheet isn't detected automatically.
