Favicon generator
Create your website's favicon from an image or an SVG: ICO, PNGs for Apple and Android, manifest and HTML tags.
Processed on your device: your file never leaves your computer
One file, 25 MB max.
What Favicon generator does
The favicon generator turns your logo into every icon a website needs: favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 pixels for tabs and bookmarks, 16 and 32 px PNGs, the 180 px icon for the iPhone home screen (apple-touch-icon), the 192 and 512 px icons for Android, the site.webmanifest file and an HTML snippet ready to paste into your head. It accepts PNG, JPG, WEBP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC and SVG; if the image isn't square, you can fit it with margins or crop it. Everything is generated in your browser.
Limits
- One file at a time, up to 25 MB.
- With Pro: up to 500 files per batch.
- A job that takes longer than 2 minutes is stopped so it doesn't freeze your device.
- Processed in your browser: your files are never uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I put the files?
At the root of your site (next to the home page), and paste the contents of favicon-head.html inside the head of your pages. If you use another folder, change the paths that start with “/”.
Why does the Apple icon have a background?
iPhones paint transparent areas of home-screen icons black, so apple-touch-icon.png is saved with the chosen background (or white). The others keep transparency if you chose a transparent background.
Which image works best?
An SVG or a square PNG of at least 512 × 512 px with a simple, high-contrast design: at 16 px fine details and long text can't be made out.
Is uploading an SVG safe?
The SVG is drawn in your browser as an image, without running scripts or loading external resources, and it is never sent to any server.
