What Add text to image does
Add text to image lets you write one or more lines over a photo: a title, a date, a price, a quote to share. Choose the font, bold, size, color, an outline that reads on any background or a box behind the text, and the position on a 9-spot grid. The preview updates as you type. You can apply the same text to several images. It works with JPG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF and HEIC, in your browser.
Limits

Frequently asked questions
Can I write several lines?
Yes: each line break in the text box starts a new line, centered on each other. You can write up to 500 characters.
Which fonts are available?
Sans serif, serif and monospace, using your system's fonts; accents, emoji and Chinese show as they do on your device.
The text is hard to read on my photo. What can I do?
Turn on “Outline”, which adds a border of the opposite color around each letter, or “Box behind the text”, which adds a translucent box.
Does the text size depend on the photo?
Yes: it is a percentage of the image's shorter side, so the text looks equally big on a phone photo and on a small screenshot.
