EPUB Converter
Convert EPUB books into one HTML page or plain text (TXT), with images and a table of contents. In your browser.
Processed on your device: your file never leaves your computer
Up to 50 files, 100 MB max each.
What EPUB Converter does
Turn an EPUB ebook into a single HTML file that opens in any browser, with the cover, a table of contents, the chapters in order and the images included, or into plain text (.txt) to read it on any device, search it or copy from it. Works with DRM-free EPUB 2 and EPUB 3 books. Links between chapters keep working inside the page. The book is opened on your device: it isn't uploaded to any server.
Limits
- Up to 50 files at a time, up to 100 MB each.
- With Pro: up to 500 files per batch.
- A job that takes longer than 2 minutes is stopped so it doesn't freeze your device.
- Processed in your browser: your files are never uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with books bought with DRM?
No. EPUBs protected with DRM (Adobe, Readium LCP, Apple) are encrypted and can only be read in the store's app; the tool tells you so. DRM-free EPUBs work: public domain books, books from DRM-free publishers or ones you made.
Is the HTML it makes safe?
Yes. Scripts, event handlers, forms and javascript: links are removed, and the page carries a security policy that blocks loading anything from the internet: images are stored inside the file. The book's stylesheets aren't used; the page has its own reading styles, light and dark.
What is lost in the conversion?
The book's styles (fonts, colors, margins), audio, video and external images. Plain text keeps paragraphs, headings, lists (with dashes) and tables (cells separated by tabs).
Is there a size limit?
Up to 100 MB per book and 300 MB unpacked, because everything is processed in your browser's memory. You can convert several books at once and download them in a ZIP.
